When does wut.do launch?
Summer 2026. We're launching in Newport Beach first — one city, done right. After we prove it works here (and it will), we expand.
Is this just for bars?
No — it's for any plan tonight. Bars, restaurants, concerts, rooftops, boat nights, house parties, whatever. If you're going somewhere and want your people to know, that's what wut.do is for.
How is this different from Snap Map?
Snap Map is passive — it shows where you are right now. wut.do is intentional — you post where you're going tonight, and your people can join. It's the difference between surveillance and coordination.
How is this different from Partiful?
Partiful is for planned events — birthdays, parties with invites. wut.do is for the spontaneous Friday night question: 'where is everyone going?' Different problem entirely.
Why start in Newport Beach?
Because that's where the founder works. Jayden is the bar manager at Lido House — he watches this problem happen every weekend from behind the bar. Newport Beach has a tight social network, a packed nightlife scene, and it's small enough to prove the concept before scaling.
Will this ever come to my city?
Yes. Newport Beach is the proof of concept. Once the product is solid and the growth is organic, we expand to other coastal markets — Laguna, Huntington, Dana Point, then beyond. Join the waitlist and we'll keep you posted.
Is the app free?
The core app is free. Venue features and operator tools will be where the business model lives — but for users, wut.do will always be free to use.
What about privacy — can anyone see where I'm going?
You control your visibility. You post intentionally — nobody sees your plans without you choosing to share them. This isn't passive tracking. You decide when you post, where you post, and who can see it.
